Aquarium Rock
I've produced more than 400 individual episodes on BlogTalkRadio.com since February 2008. Several of the shows have an environment message, so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise a new show I'm developing will focus on the Aquarist - or aquarium enthusiast. Aquarium Rock will mix information about live rock, dry rock and base rock with news about equipment and environmental issues and a little eco-rock. I've know Gary Levine for several years, working with him to promote various manmade reef projects in the Miami area, including Atlantis Reef, now known as Neptune Reef, in the Key Biscayne Special Management Zone, about five miles from South Beach. I'm now working with him to communicate a message about the environmental damage caused to shallow reefs in Fiji, Bali, Tonga and Haiti, when workers rip up large sections of living coral to send it to the U.S. to become ornaments in someone's fish tank. There is an option - source live rock from U.S. water and eliminate the importation of live rock, PERIOD! LiveRockUSA is a supplier of quality live rock for the aquarist. We're concerned about the ocean environment and believe live rock, produced in a federally-permitted mariculture site just east of Islamorada, Florida, is equal-to, or better-than, live rock imported from exotic islands with fragile eco-systems. LiveRockUSA sells live rock, dry rock and base rock directly from it's store and nursery, as well as online. There are more than 100 positive comments from enthusiastic eBay customers. |
